The friendly farmland project will be launched in 2021. Starting from 1.4 hectares, we negotiated with farmers one by one to stop using pesticides and chemical fertilizers. Thanks to organic farmer Chen Yuyuan for promoting it, although we were nervous, everyone decided to try the challenge.
After a whole year of hard work, and with the assistance of the Compassionate Organic Agriculture Foundation, we planted the first batch of friendly rice, and received purchase support from 6,000 friends, which increased farmers’ confidence and decided to expand friendly farming land.
The 1-99 Friendly Farmland Expansion Plan has been officially launched. It is hoped that Taiwan’s organically friendly planting area will eventually expand from less than 1% to 99%, with the aim of making Taiwan a demonstration land with the highest proportion of organically friendly area in the world.
The "Qingshui Rice Field Carnival", supported by the Qingshui District Farmers' Association of Taichung City, hosted by Shanmeizhen Elementary and Middle School, and sponsored by the Dome Exhibition, attracted thousands of residents and tourists to celebrate the Spring Festival and educate and promote knowledge and experience of rice field activities.
Friendly planting does not use pesticides, so it is necessary to protect the rice in various ways, so volunteers from the 1-99 Project came to Qingshui, Taichung to help pull out weeds and have a wonderful interaction with the soft and friendly land.

The Global Friendly Farmland Association, established on August 29, 2023, takes the goal of friendliness internationally and hopes to align with the United Nations standards so that everyone who is interested can understand the definition of friendliness and friendly actions.

Global Soil Doctors Program
「Global Soil Doctor」It is a farmer-to-farmer sustainable education program. In addition to providing knowledge on soil health and food security, it will also strengthen farmers’ administrative management, action and decision-making abilities.
In addition to improving the quality of the agricultural products themselves, it also takes care of the organic ecology in the soil, thus creating a virtuous cycle that takes care of farmers, consumers, and the biological system underground.
The project starts with farmers cooperating on the project, who study soil management teaching materials provided by FAO and conduct field operations. The project unit also assists in introducing resources from various sources and conducting international exchanges.
In addition to increasing farmers' income and increasing rural activities, it also directly and indirectly allows global consumers to understand the importance and hard work of farmers. Taiwan’s first international carbon reduction rice
The "Efforts for Small Farmers Carbon Planting Project (No. GS11818)", which has been registered on the international Gold Standard carbon rights trading platform, has been in effect for more than two years and has attracted nearly 300 farmers in Taiwan to join.
